Growing Restaurant Began in a Storage Unit
Restaurant Gets Its Start in a Storage Unit
Trevioli, a mix of the founder's name Trevor and Ravioli, the chef's specialty, started in a storage unit in 2013 as a pasta shop with founders Brandi and Trevor Morris. It was one of those IYKYK type places because there wasn't room for a sign, someone had to tell you about it and give you instructions. The demand for their product grew and they needed to expand into a neighboring storage unit to give themselves the necessary space and allow for dine-in seating. In 2017, Trevoli opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Columbus, Ohio and in 2020, they opened a new location on the ground floor of The Rapids.
Storage units are a great place to start a business and get it up and running, before expanding to a brick and mortar. You can store inventory, sell from the unit, use exclusivity to build interest, and test out your business idea without breaking the bank!
